Cuba Street
Project Types: Exterior Refurb, Multi-unit Residential
Client: Cornerstone Partners
Location: 141 Cuba Street
The 141 Cuba Street project epitomizes Ironhorse Construction's unwavering commitment to preserving heritage while infusing modern comfort. In 2021, we embarked on a comprehensive transformation that rejuvenated both the building's exterior and the interior of the Level 1 and 2 apartments, located above Scopa Café.
The exterior refurbishment involved meticulous work on the heritage three-story structure, ensuring it could not only stand up against the elements but do so in style. This encompassed the meticulous replacement of metal and membrane roofing, breathing new life into the building's exterior. Windows were refreshed, and a fresh coat of paint revitalized the façade, harking back to its former glory.
Within the building, the remodelling of the Level 1 and 2 apartments was a work of art. Each level featured 8 bedrooms, a central bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, and a lounge, all seamlessly integrated to enhance functionality and aesthetics. The transformation included a complete remodel of the kitchens, refreshing floor and wall finishes, and upgrading bathrooms to contemporary standards. We also introduced a new central fresh air system and heat pumps for thermal comfort, ensuring residents could enjoy a modern living experience. Additionally, sound-rated walls and acoustic treatments were constructed between the lounge/kitchen and bedrooms, creating a serene and private living space.
This $800,000 project stands as a testament to our ability to seamlessly blend heritage preservation with the infusion of modern comfort. It highlights our dedication to creating spaces that offer both visual appeal and contemporary functionality, ensuring that every project we undertake is a harmonious blend of old and new. This is a tribute to Ironhorse Construction's commitment to revitalizing heritage properties and enhancing the living experiences of their occupants.
